Swagelok field engineer Eric Kayla will show you how to properly select and size a pressure reducing regulator on Wednesday, March 13th at 10am MST.

With all the pressure-reducing regulators available in the Swagelok catalogue, it might seem hard to decide which model is the best one for the particular job you have in mind. Field engineer Eric Kayla will show you just how to do that on March 13th when the Swagelok distributors of Western Canada host a new free webinar, "How to Properly Select and Size a Pressure Reducing Regulator." The webinar session will start at 10 a.m. Mountain Time and run for about 40 minutes, plus time for you to ask Kayla questions afterward.

Some readers have already "met" Kayla back in November at our first webinar on the theory and operation of regulators. Kayla is one of Swagelok's roaming experts, spending about half of his time on the road each year visiting customers in the western portions of Canada, the United States and Mexico. Now he's back with a detailed session on how to match the regulator to the job.

Finding the right size means much more than whether the end connections fit. It's really about determining how much flow can pass through a specific model of a regulator without causing problems. Each regulator is designed to work best within a certain range of conditions. Match those specs with your job, and you'll be good to go.

Your Edmonton Valve & Fitting representative is always ready to help you find the regulator that's best for the job, but you'll come into the conversation with a lot more confidence after hearing what Kayla has to say. We also offer a Regulator Reference Guide with a chapter specifically on the selection process and the key information required for sizing.

If our schedule doesn't fit yours, don't worry. We'll also record the webinar and put it online. Participate live, however, and you'll get the chance to interact with Kayla in real time. It's easy to register online.
