At the show we will be featuring a product stand with a variety of Swagelok process valves, featuring our newest product, the VN01 valve. This compact-design valve is for severe process applications, and you need to stop by our booth #1827 to find out more!

It happens only once every five years, so don't let the World Heavy Oil Congress slip past you. It's coming up March 24 through 26 at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton. We'll be there, talking about a wide range of products and giving away some prizes.

The World Heavy Oil Congress is a gathering of the international heavy oil community to share the latest knowledge, advancements, and developments involved in bringing this valuable resource to market. The comprehensive conference program features technical and business sessions from industry experts and examines the challenges and opportunities facing the heavy oil sector.

Plenty to see and hear

There are several ways to approach the event. For those who want to cover everything possible, here's what you get with a full Conference Delegate pass:

* Business conference including panel discussions by industry and government

* Two-day technical conference of over 130 presentations

* Keynote luncheons

* Breakfasts and daily refreshments

* Evening social networking events

* Online technical conference proceedings

* Conference delegate gift

* Exhibition pass

But it's not an all-or-nothing proposition. You can also purchase a one-day conference pass, an exhibition-only pass, or register for one or all of the evening social events separately. No matter which approach you take, it's a chance to meet face-to-face with decision makers, explore global markets, and source technologies on the exhibition floor. That's where we come in. Swagelok products and services have been a vital part of the petroleum industry for decades.

Valves, fittings, and more

We'd like to show you our VB03 and VB04 process interface valves. They do the job of two or three valves, but are smaller and lighter than multi-valve assemblies. They're great for process piping isolation points, direct mounting to instruments, chemical injection, sampling, vents, and double block and bleed isolation. The one-valve configuration means fewer potential leak points too.

We'll also have our FKB Series ball valves on display. These trunnion-style, medium-pressure valves offer low-torque, quarter-turn operation in a compact design providing positive shutoff in applications up to 15 000 psig (1034 bar). The design is so advanced that Swagelok has a couple of patents pending.

If your fluid system includes a transition from pipe to tube, you'll want to check out our ANSI flange adapters. By transitioning straight from a flange connection to a tube fitting connection, it eliminates the need for both threaded connections, which mean fewer potential leak points and weld connections, which saves you on labour expenses.

Be sure to check out our medium-pressure fittings when you stop by. The simple two-piece design consists of a female fitting body and preassembled cartridge containing the male nut and colour-coded front and back ferrules on a disposable plastic arbor. The cartridge ensures correct ferrule orientation, visual confirmation of the ferrule's presence, and proper installation into the female body. Components are released only after the nut is threaded finger-tight on the fitting body.

Are you familiar with our Sample Probe Module from our PrESS line of product? If not, then make sure to stop by and see how this product can help you more effectively grab representative samples from your fluid system.

The Exhibit Hall opens at noon on Tuesday and at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Our booth is 1827, along the far right wall as you come in past the registration desk. Look for us right across the aisle from the large refreshment area.
