Last Chance for Live Briefing on Winterization

Series by Swagelok Energy Advisors ends with session on unit heatersSwagelok Energy Advisors Steam Trap

If you took advantage of our first two Winterization webinars this month, you already have a sound plan to get ready for cold weather. This week you can add further insight with the third and final Winterization segment on unit heaters on Thursday, Sept. 27 at Noon, Mountain Time. Swagelok Energy Advisors and Edmonton Valve and Fitting Inc. have put together this series specifically for professionals in the Edmonton, Alberta area.

Field service advisor Tristian McCallion will look at the two basic types, propeller-fan heaters and blower-fan heaters, also called centrifuge-fan heaters. Each has certain advantages and disadvantages. The propeller units, for instance, are compact and economical, but they can't be used with air discharge nozzles or ductwork. Blower fans, on the other hand, are generally quieter.

Physical configuration makes a difference too. McCallion will go over proper heights and alignments, and illustrate them with examples.

If you missed the first two sessions on heat tracing systems and steam trap systems for tracing, don't worry. We'll make them available online, along with this week's session. But it's better to see them live and take advantage of the chance to ask McCallion questions and get immediate answers.
