Wide range of choices

For manually actuated needle valves, instrumentation ball valves, plug valves, bellows valves and diaphragm valves, Swagelok offers a clamshell-style cover for lock out/tag out. The clamshell design accommodates handles and stems from 3/8 inch to 4 1/14 inches. It's made of rugged polypropylene that resists many chemicals and can stand up to temperatures from -30°C to 150°C (-20°F to 300°F). The clamshell option is also OSHA compliant for lock out/tag out control of hazardous energy.

For our instrumentation ball valves, another option is the latch-lock design. It's available for the 43, 44 and 45 Series. The latch lock is built into the handle and features a positive detent for valve position. That means you can lock out the valve in either the closed or open position.

For other ball valves, a locking bracket design is available. This option covers Swagelok's 60 Series process ball valves, several of the 40 Series instrumentation ball valves and the 80 Series trunnion ball valves.

Swagelok's manually actuated DF and DP diaphragm valves can be ordered with a quarter-turn option that locks the valve in the closed position.

Our DP Series manually operated toggle valve has a lockout option in the closed position.

To round out the list, we have a unique lock out handle for Swagelok's DE Series diaphragm valves for modular gas systems. It locks the valve in the closed position.
