Stream Selection Valves Simplify Process Analyzer Sampling Systems

Modular design allows for any number of streams sent to the analyzer

The stainless steel modular design makes it simple to install and maintain. With a built in pneumatic actuator that provides repetitive shutoff with fewer potential leak points than conventional systems, the compact design also helps save cabinet space and reduces internal volume

Innovation creates consistency

When you need to send samples to your analyzer from multiple streams, our SSV Series stream selector system is the way to go. We start out with the classic double block and bleed operation, and then we add a couple of Swagelok innovations.

First is the outlet flow loop. It eliminates contaminating dead legs and ensures the same flow for every stream. This reduces wasted samples, and increases the timeliness of your analyzer reading.

Another innovation is the vented air gap on each module. Along with double seals, the vented air gap prevents the air supply in the actuator from mixing with the system media. This helps to preserve the integrity of the analytical results, and avoid a potentially combustive mixture.

Any number of streams

Swagelok SSV valves are an integral part of the Swagelok Modular Platform Component system. Standard O-rings provide leak-tight seals between each surface-mount and substrate flow component, and between the substrate and manifold flow components.

That means a small footprint, easy customization, simple installation and maintenance, and the ability to service the surface-mounted components easily from the top of the assembly without disturbing any other components. You'll have fewer tubing connections, which means fewer potential leak points.

Because the system is modular, it can handle any number of sample streams: a pair, a dozen or even more.
