Swagelok Tube Fitting Installation Class is Now Available in 2 Sizes

Today we'll look at what is covered in our 45-minute Introduction to Tube Fitting Installation and Safety session versus the half-day Tube Fitting Installation Essentials Seminar.

Edmonton Valve offers tube fitting installation and safety training that builds critical skills for professionals who develop, install, inspect, maintain, operate, or purchase for industrial fluid systems. Every session is led by one or more Swagelok-certified Trainers. Attendees can keep all their course materials.

"We offer different levels of training within our Essentials programs," explains Edmonton Valve Training & Services Coordinator James Dickie. "We have some that are based on the installer level—they're the ones that are on the tools and they're putting together the fittings or the valves or the hoses—and we offer another higher level class designed more for installers, technicians, managers, engineers, and quality control personnel that have to go through and make sure that the system is done correctly and catch any little mistakes that maybe the installer missed."

Even people who have been working with tubing and fittings for years benefit from the training, Dickie says. Many companies require crews to complete refresher training every few years to keep up with new features and products.

"People come to these classes and a lot of times they expect to sit there and watch a PowerPoint the whole time. Our classes are rarely that way," adds another Swagelok trainer. "Classes are as hands-on as possible. We quickly put tools and fittings in attendees' hands" and get them practicing.

Swagelok essentials training can provide critical skills and benefits from improved safety to cost savings. A desire for peace of mind motivates many attendees too, says Dickie. "Our customers want to feel confident that they're doing the job correctly—they're putting our fittings together properly or installing that valve correctly. It gives them the confidence that when they go to work next to that fitting or that valve, not only are they safe but their co-workers are safe. We all want to get home at the end of the day. That's what it's all about. Work safe; get home and see our families."
